An eye catching necklace made with two beautiful teardrops, one an enchanting shade of turquoise blue, the other like an ice crystal. The primary bead is a smooth turquoise magnesite in a voluptuous teardrop shape. It is paired with a spectacularly faceted quartz crystal briolette. Both are wrapped with very fine sterling silver wire and suspended on a divine 18 inch sterling silver cable chain. The magnesite drop is 1-3/4 inches in length and the quartz crystal is 3/4 of an inch long.

Sophisticated Quartz Crystal Earrings

Made with natural quartz crystal briolettes cut in a gorgeous and unusual style! The facets start at the top point of the brio and radiate down in lots of thin, straight lines to the four large facets at the bottom of the brio. These cuts grab the light and reflect it throughout the stone making them glow within and especially at the bottom end of the brio! They are wrapped in very fine sterling silver wire which adds to their elegant style! In a word, these earrings are gorgeous!

Simple elegance for an evening out on the town, these versatile quartz crystal earrings will become a staple in your jewelry wardrobe! Quartz crystals are a wonderfully neutral stone that will go with many outfits and many styles. Yet, despite the fact that they are clear, the abundance of facets on these stones really sparkle, reflecting rainbows of light and drawing attention to the earrings!

Beginning with two different gauges of sterling silver wire, I used a torch to turn the wire into handmade ball headpins, which became the dangles and earwires. I added three quartz crystal rondelles to each headpin and wrapped the headpin in a closed loop to keep them securely on the earwire!
