Look Up!!!

Did you know that snakes can climb trees?!? I had never really thought about it before until my oldest son pointed out to us that this black snake was climbing the tree in our backyard! The snake was heading for a summer tanger nest on that branch to eat the eggs!

Needless to say, he didn't get eggs for lunch that day thanks to all of us! We used the garden hose and a long painters pole to get him out of the tree and sent him off to the woods to find something else to eat! I think the summer tangers were grateful, because we have seen them all around our house since then!
