Peridot, the birthstone of August babies, is a very old gemstone found in Egyptian and Roman jewelry from ancient times. It has three different names: peridot, chrysolite and precious olivine. The word peridot is derived from the Greek word peridona, which means, "to give richness". It's lovely rich green color, with a touch of gold comes from very fine traces of iron and the intensity of the color is dependant upon the amount of iron present within the stone. Peridot is one of only a few gemstones that come in one specific color, and its color can range from yellowish green to olive and even to a brownish green.

These gorgeous handmade earrings have three different stones woven onto the sterling silver frames: peridot, prehnite and spessartite garnets. You will find more pictures and information about the Precious Olivine earrings by clicking on the link listed below. Thank you for looking!

This beautiful 35mm x 25mm teal green moss agate cabochon is topped with swirls and a beaded crest that almost looks like a crown! The cabochon has many soft shades of green including teal, forest green with touches of blue gray, it is a very unique stone!

The bale is 1/4 of an inch across and would easily accommodate a rope chain or leather cord necklace. In the very center of the bale, there are twelve 2mm sterling silver round beads, which adds so much interest to the piece! The Crest pendant is 2 inches in length, and 1-1/16 inches across. Please click on the link below to see more pictures of this pendant in my Etsy shop. Thank you for looking!

The latest trend in ring styles, one very bold ring on your index or middle finger! This ring definitely fits that description; it's big, bold, and very unique with lots of elegant details!

The rhodonite oval stone is absolutely gorgeous! It has many beautiful shades of pink, with just a few dots of black for contrast. That rhodonite oval makes the top of the ring a bold 23mm by 18mm! The stone is surrounded by four wire wrapped swirls made of sterling silver, which adds to the uniqueness of the ring! In between the swirls you will find plenty of 2mm faceted sterling silver beads for sparkle! The shank of the ring starts at the top of the stone and corkscrews down to the bottom of the stone, as you can see in the front picture. It is a sturdy three bands of 18-gauge sterling silver wire, so it will stand up to wear.

This unique ring is a size 9-1/2 (US), it will be sent to you enclosed in an organza drawstring bag, which is suitable for gift giving or storage! Thank you for looking!

My two boys are into anything about outer space, so we usually borrow at least one space book each time we go to the library! Here are a few things I learned from the book, Messages from Mars, by Loreen Leedy and Andrew Schuerger. There are two moon that orbit Mars named Phobos and Deimos, and compared to the Earth's moon they are both very small! Phobos is 27 km, Deimos is 15 km, and our moon is 3,476 km! They both are a strange potato shape and Phobos has lots of craters on it! Guess you are never too old to learn something new!

When I made this ring, Mars kept coming to mind; the following may be the reasons why! The 8mm round carnelian bead is a beautiful shade of red brown, much like the surface of the planet, which has lots of iron and other minerals. There are two tiny 2mm gold filled beads that orbit the carnelian bead, like the moons Phobos and Deimos! Also, when I asked my oldest what planet this bead reminded him of, he immediately replied Mars! That sealed the deal, this ring was just meant to be named after Mars the Red Planet!

This lovely carnelian ring is a size 6 (US), if you need another size please convo me, I still have a few of these carnelian beads in stock!
