Today is a day full of emotions for me as I end a chapter in my life and start a new one. This was my last day as a pre-school teacher and the beginning of being totally self-employed. I have been with this parent's day out program for the last five years of my life, and it has been wonderful in more ways than I can count!
This school year was very special because I was blessed to have nine sweet little boys in my class who made me laugh and see the world through the eyes of a toddler again! My teaching partner and friend Judy taught me how to be even more patient with little ones, and how to have grace during life's most difficult moments.
So as I start this new chapter in my life, I look back and smile at many happy memories, and I look forward to the many challenges of being self-employed! My life has been forever changed by my time spent as a pre-school teacher and I am so grateful that God gave me that opportunity to be one!
With tears and smiles,
Debra

May Apples are all over the woods around our home! The plant is a large single leaf that is almost 10 inches across, and I've heard that they produce some kind of fruit too! I will have to post a picture of that when I find some!
Get out and enjoy to the world around you, there are so many wonderful things to see! Have a fantastic day!
Blessings,
Debra

It's time for the invasion of the 17 year locust in our area! You know, the UGLY red eyed things that make lots of noise and can't fly very well! Two days ago, my youngest son came running to me with a hat full of the nasty skins they shed saying, "Look Mom! There must be thousands of them!" Eeewww, was all I could say!!!!! We went out to look at our trees in the front yard, there were hundreds of the skins all over them!
This bug tried to fly away, but ended up crashing to the ground about 3 feet away! No wonder the local animals eat them! When they are done shedding their old skin, they dry off and crawl up into the trees, and lay their eggs in the tree branches! Sometime later this summer, after the eggs hatch, those babies will chew through the branches and they will fall to the ground! Then the larva will leave the branch and dig into the ground where they will live for the next 17 years until it's time for them to reproduce!
This one is coming out of it's shell! Looks like a creepy monster you'd see in a horror movie! LOL!

Custom Order for Angela!!!!
Cool mint green faceted Czech beads with a silver coating on one side looks so awesome with the sterling silver boxes in these two special order items! Recently, I had made a pair of earrings with these same beads for my friend Angela. She loved the earrings so much, that she went and bought more of the "boxes" for a bracelet! After completing the bracelet I had one box left and used some of the left over beads to make a matching pendant!
I love how they all turned out, and so did Angela!

I found these awesome Swarovski crystal beads the other day at my local bead shop! They are 15mm across and are the perfect focal point for the coolest rings ever!
My oldest son thought the ring in the top picture looked like a disco ball because the bead reflects light all around the inside of the ring! There are so many gorgeous colors and twinkles that photography cannot possibly capture!
The Midas Touch ring is in the bottom picture! The Swarovski crystal in that ring has a gorgeous gold finish which reflects light off the surface of the crystal with a mesmerizing glimmer! Since both the crystal and ring are gold, Midas came to mind right away!

Sterling Silver and Amethyst Earrings
Starting with sterling silver wire, the frame of these detailed earrings were shaped into a heart and ending with the earwires, all one continuous piece of wire! The hearts were then wrapped with yards of a very fine gauge sterling silver wire. The center of the heart has lots of loops of sterling silver twisted wire with a few sterling silver beads for accent! For a very feminine flourish, a “ruffle” of sterling silver beads was added to the outside edge of the heart! Last, but certainly not least, gorgeous 10mm x 8mm light amethyst briolettes adorn the point of the heart! These high quality briolettes have many facets, which sparkle and shine!
The Ruffles and Flourishes earrings are a very feminine; they would be perfect for a bride or a June baby as light amethyst is an alternative birthstone for that month! They are 1-7/16 inches long and will be sent to you enclosed in a lovely jewelry box, which is perfect for gift giving or storage! Click on the link listed below to find out more about these earrings!

Copper Wire Ring
This funky copper wire ring has many different levels of swirls and curves. Starting with one big curve of natural copper wire, not craft wire, it ends with a double level of hammered swirls. After the wire wrapping was completed, the ring was heated with a torch, to give it a unique patina! Lastly, this delicate little ring was buffed for a satiny smooth finish!
The Dream Within A Dream ring is a size 7 (US) and it will be sent to you enclosed in a shimmering organza drawstring bag, which is suitable for gift giving or storage! To see more about this ring, just click on the link below!

I love my daisies, they are such a determined flower! Every year they bloom like crazy in my garden, then they try their very best to take over any bare spot with more of their own! At least with a little bit of hoeing, I can keep them managed!
Hope you are enjoying spring where you are!
Blessings,
Debra
